Energy Weaving with the Wandering Shaman: Quantum Human Design & Shamanic Wisdom - April 28, 2025 - The Sun Enters the Gate of Blessings/The Earth Enters the Gate of Truth

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to my podcast, where we explore the movement of the sun and the earth through the Human Design Chart, as well as some shamanic wisdom to help us out along the way.  Today is April 28, 2025, and the sun is lighting up Gate 24 - the Gate of Blessings - and the earth is grounded in Gate 44 - the Gate of Truth.  If you are just finding me, don’t worry about what you may have missed; you are welcome to go back and listen to previous episodes, or you can just jump in where we are.  I do recommend, however, that if you are new to Human Design and/or Shamanism, go back and listen to Episode 0 of this podcast.  I give a brief introduction to both concepts there, with a lot of the “lingo” explained.  You can also read the Introductory blog post on my website, where I briefly introduce both concepts; it may help you as we move through the year.

So, let’s take a look at what’s coming at us in the energetic realm this week, and let’s start with the sun in Gate 24, which is the Gate of Blessings.  As is the case with some of these energies, Traditional Human Design has a little different take on them.  I want to just mention that first.  In Traditional Human Design, this is the Gate of Rationalization.  Located in the Ajna Center, Gate 24 is about mental awareness and the process of seeking answers. It’s often associated with deep contemplation and trying to find meaning or understanding from experiences.

It is driven by a need to understand concepts, ideas, and patterns, but it can also lead to overthinking or mental pressure as it seeks to rationalize things that may not have clear answers.

The gift of Gate 24 is the ability to connect seemingly unrelated concepts to come up with new insights or innovations. It’s about diving into the depths of the mind to find clarity, understanding and blessings!

The Quantum name for this gate is the Gate of Blessings, and it challenges us to find the blessings and power from painful experiences and to use them as catalysts for transformation.  So my first challenge to you this week is to think of a harrowing event or a particularly challenging time in your life.  What blessings came out of that event or that time?  Maybe don’t choose a real recent event because sometimes it takes us a while to be able to see the blessings, especially if we are still in the pain.  But after we have processed some of the pain and have some distance in time away from the occurrences, we can often look back and see the blessings.  I will have some affirmations to go with this energy at the end of the podcast.

Gate 44, the Gate of Truth, also has a big challenge for us.  The unbalanced expression of this energy is to get stuck and be unable to move forward due to the fear of patterns of the past repeating themselves.  The challenge is to be able to see those patterns but not let them stop us from moving forward.  Additionally, Gate 44 carries with it ancestral patterns, so you may be paralyzed by the patterns of your ancestors that have been passed down through the generations.  For example, let’s say you are afraid to get into a serious relationship because you have an overwhelming fear of being betrayed.  You have never been betrayed, but the fear is still there.  This could be ingrained from betrayals that have happened way back in your family tree.  When we suffer intense traumas, our DNA is affected, and that is passed on through the generations.  Fortunately, these traumas can be healed through the Shamanic energy work that I do.  If that is something that interests you, please check out the services section of my website here to see my offerings.    

The oracle card I drew from the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid and Marcela Lobos is the Hummingbird.  The hummingbird is the totem of the north in the traditional medicine wheel, and here’s the wisdom she offers: 

Despite being so little, hummingbirds are great journeyers, migrating between North and Central or South America to feed from the summer nectar.  This gentle creature can be fiercely territorial to protect its home.  Hummingbird teaches us to be gentle to ourselves and protect our personal space.  

Hummingbird invites you to embark on your epic quest, bypass the dung pile of old pain and hurts, head for the flowers, and learn to trust the calling you hear ever so softly.

The buzzing you feel is the sound of your hummingbird wings preparing you to say yes to a new adventure.  This is not the time to linger on what has gone wrong, but to trust in the lightness of the moment and take bold action.  Trust that success is assured, even if you must face tests and challenges to reach your destination.  Know that all will be well because the All is in the small.

This mighty being comes to teach you stillness in motion and to trust your inner knowing that the sweetest nectar is assured.  Failing to act when the moment is right can spoil your journey.  If you feel your safety, comfort, or day-to-day survival are more important than saying yes to the invitation to explore the unknown, you will have to work much harder to achieve what is being offered to you freely now.  Still your mind, even in the midst of your very hectic schedule, and feed the gentle voice that calls to you to test new wings.

So, what I take away from all of that is….

1. This is not the time to linger on what has gone wrong, (Gate 44) but to trust in the lightness of the moment and take bold action. 

2. Embark on your epic quest, bypass the dung pile of old pain and hurts, head for the flowers, and learn to trust the calling you hear ever so softly.

3. Count your blessings.  In the midst of anything and everything, count your blessings.

And here are three affirmations for you:

• The universe gives me blessings in every event in my life.

• I find the blessings in the pain.

• I let go of the patterns of the past and move forward with courage.
