Hello everyone! Welcome, or welcome back to my podcast! Before we get started, I just want to say thank you so much to everyone I got to meet in Traverse City, Michigan over the past 2 days. I just love getting to meet new people and talk about Quantum Human Design! I will be traveling to Midland, Michigan next month, so stay tuned for the details on that in my next episode.
So today is March 24, 2025, and the sun is in Gate 17 - the Gate of Anticipation and the earth is in Gate 18 - the Gate of Re-Alignment. Let’s take a look at what that means.
The Gate of Anticipation is a “thinking” gate. It is attached to the Ajna center, so it is all about thoughts. It challenges us to share our thoughts about what might be possible, but (and here’s the hard part) only when people ask for them. The energy in this gate ushers in big, bold, inspirational ideas - ideas that you may never have thought of before, and you may be eager to share them with anyone who will listen. The problem is, if the person you are talking to is not ready to hear and consider such big, bold ideas, your words may fall on deaf ears leaving you feeling frustrated and unheard. When people ask you for your opinion, you can be relatively certain that they are ready to hear what you have to say, and that’s a green light for you to share your thoughts.
This scenario can look a variety of different ways, and here’s one concrete example:
Imagine you’re at a family gathering, and your sibling is venting about how stuck they feel in their career. You jump in and say, “You should just quit your job and start a YouTube channel about what you love!” Without having been asked for your opinion, they might immediately dismiss your idea, saying that’s unrealistic or not what they’re looking for. You might feel rejected and frustrated.
But if they turn to you and say, “I don’t know what to do. What do you think?”—that’s your opening! Now, they’re actually open to hearing your perspective, making it far more likely that your insight will resonate and spark something meaningful for them. They may or may not take you up on your idea, and they may tell you it’s ridiculous, but at least you won’t feel like it fell on deaf ears. And maybe it just planted a seed that they may come back to look at at a later date.
It’s all about waiting for the right moment rather than pushing ideas before people are ready to receive them.
So, speaking of timing, Gate 18, the Gate of Re-Alignment, is also about timing. The energy literally asks us to wait for the right timing and the right circumstances to offer your intuitive insights on how to fix or correct a pattern. Remember also, that it is best to do such things out of a place of love, rather than judgment. Gate 18’s energy isn’t just about correction for the sake of being right but about re-aligning things in a way that fosters joy and harmony. Timing plays such a huge role in that, too. Offering insights at the wrong time can feel like criticism, but when done at the right moment and with love, it can be transformative. This gate connects to Gate 58, which is the Gate of Joy, so it is important to remember that promoting and fostering more joy in the given situation is most important.
Here’s another concrete example to drive this point home: Imagine you have a close friend who’s been working really hard on a creative project, like writing a book. You can see that there’s a pattern in their writing—maybe they tend to over-explain things, which takes away from the power of their storytelling.
If you were to point this out immediately, without the right timing or approach, it might come across as criticism and discourage them. But if you wait for a moment when they are open to feedback—perhaps when they ask for your thoughts or when they express frustration about their writing—you can offer your insight. But also be sure to do it in a way that is supportive and loving. Instead of saying, "You always over-explain things," you could say, "I love the depth of your ideas! I wonder if simplifying some parts might make your message even more powerful?"
By offering your insight at the right time and in a way that uplifts them, you’re aligning with Gate 18’s energy of correction while also connecting to Gate 58’s energy of joy—helping them refine their work in a way that ultimately brings them more satisfaction and success.
Now let’s look at the Mystical Shaman card that I pulled to go along with these energies. Again, I am using the Mystical Shaman Oracle deck by Alberto Villoldo, Colette Baron-Reid and Marcela Lobos. The link will be in the show notes and the picture will be on FB and Instagram.
I randomly drew the Owl card. It’s a little different than the Owl card from the other deck I was using. Here’s what it has to say:
Owl is the master of the night. She can see situations with perfect clarity, more so when it is dark and is able to discern truth when others are sightless. She helps you find your light and your lightness in the darkest moments of your life, and to embrace the night as your ally. Owl can bring you messages from the invisible world. She opens your ears, so that you may hear the voices of the ancestors, and you may acquire their wisdom and make it your own.
Look around you, notice every detail, and find the hidden messages brought to you by Owl. Do not shoot the messenger; be grateful to the friend who shows you what you have not wanted to see until now. Observe all the facets of the diamond without judgment. Remember that the facets you dislike are often mirrors of the parts of you that you do not want to recognize. Do not be afraid of the truth, as it will become your compass.
Owl guards against self-deception and insists that your motives be pure and transparent to all. What is the message that you are not hearing, the situation you are not seeing with clarity? Owl invites you to wait patiently. Bide your time until it is right to act. Then do so decisively, with no hesitation or remorse.
So I think this is an interesting card to pair with this energy. What a powerful ally to have during this week. I see several parallels between the Owl card and the energies of Gates 17 and 18.
Gate 17 is about seeing patterns, forming opinions, and sharing insights that help others perceive reality more clearly. This mirrors Owl’s ability to "see situations with perfect clarity" and uncover hidden truths that others might miss.
Gate 18 carries an inherent drive to correct and improve—not from judgment, but from a deep knowing of what needs to be healed. This echoes Owl’s invitation to “be grateful to the friend who shows you what you have not wanted to see” and to embrace truth rather than resist it.
The passage advises waiting for the right moment to act, just as Gate 18 teaches us to refine and correct in a way that is both timely and effective. Together, these gates create a balance between perception and refinement—seeing what needs to change (Gate 17) and knowing how to improve it (Gate 18). Owl reveals hidden truths and guides us to act only when the time is right, with no hesitation or remorse.
Did those parallels resonate with you? Did you hear something different? That is your contemplation for this week. And here are some affirmations - as always, take what resonates and leave the rest.
I use the power of my mind to explore possibilities and potential.
I am a powerful force that realigns patterns.
My awareness gives people the information they need to experience greater joy.
My insights help people deepen their mastery.
My highest intention is to increase the world’s potential for living in the flow of joy.
I choose to see the potential for positive outcomes.
So that’s all I have for you today. Let me know what you think. How did the comparisons between the Owl card and the gate energies land for you? Do you like the affirmations included? Are they helpful? Feel free to comment or DM me your opinion. These episodes are for you, although I always hear what I need to hear as well. So let me know what you think and I can tweak the content if necessary.
I’ll be back on March 30th when the sun is in Gate 21 - the Gate of Self-Regulation and the Earth is in Gate 48, the Gate of Wisdom. Until then, take good care and we’ll see you soon.
