Energy Weaving with the Wandering Shaman: Quantum Human Design & Shamanic Wisdom - March 7, 2025 - The Sun Enters the Gate of Surrender/The Earth Enters the Gate of Mindset

Hello everyone!  Welcome or welcome back to my podcast where we are exploring the movement of the sun and the earth through the Human Design Chart as well as some Shamanic wisdom to help us along our path.  If you are just finding me, don’t worry about what you may have missed; you can just jump in where we are.  You are welcome to go back and listen to (or read) past episodes, but it’s not necessary.  I do recommend, however, that if you are new to human design and/or shamanism, you go back and listen to (or read) episode 1 of this podcast.  I give a brief introduction to both concepts there, with a lot of the “lingo” explained.

A gateway stands before you, an entrance into self, will you walk through?  The opportunities before you are similar to a hero walking through an archway to greet their destiny.  Your soul's purpose is upon you - are you excited to meet it?  Everyone’s journey is different; no single life is the same, and we all have the luxury to create our lives and decide where we end up.  This card is giving you the thumbs up - take the leap, walk through the gateway - this is your time.  Do not mistake destiny for a path that is already laid down.  You will be ever-changing and evolving, your visions, your path, your destiny may change every day, month, or year.  That is the beauty of free will.  Now is the time to begin, create away dear one, your self-made destiny is calling.  The mystic wanderer is with you, and all the wanderers that came before you.  You are finally ready to cultivate your vision.  Do not let others sway you as you decide what career or passion to chase.  Decide what your needs are, not what the world wants for you.  Know that your mind will change as you progress.

I guess I am always amazed by how well the randomly selected Shamanic wisdom card correlates with the energies of the gates for the week.  

The Gate of Surrender is Gate 22 and is being lit up by the sun.  The challenge of this gate is to trust that your passions and deepest desires are supported by the Universal flow of abundance.  It asks you to have the courage to follow your passion and know that you will be supported.  It is an emotional gate, as it is attached to the emotional solar plexus, so an additional challenge is to regulate your emotional energy so that you have faith that everything will unfold perfectly.  

So, here are some contemplations: 

• Are you ready to walk through the gateway? 

• Do you have the courage to follow your passion? 

• Do you trust that you will be abundantly supported? 

• Do you trust that you will be given what you need when you need it so that you will be able to make your unique contribution to the world? 

• Are you settling for less than what you want out of fear that you can’t get what you want? 

• What is one bold step towards your genius that you can take right now?

Now, Gate 47 shifts us out of emotional energy back into our head space.  This gate is similar to the ones discussed last week, especially Gate 64, which connects to Gate 47.  Gate 47 is again all about figuring out HOW something is going to get done.  It is about being open to possibility and about not letting inspirations (dreams, ideas, visions, etc.) die because you don’t know exactly HOW to fulfill them.  As we talked about last week, the “how” may come later, or it may not come to YOU at all.  Someone else may have the key to the “how” and you are just there to hold space for the idea to be brought to life.  Mindset is important.  I don’t know if this completely relates, but it reminds me of a quote by Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu…"Watch your thoughts, for they will become actions. Watch your actions, for they’ll become habits. Watch your habits, for they will forge your character. Watch your character, for it will make your destiny.”  Ultimately, your destiny trickles down from your thoughts, so a positive, aligned mindset is important, and a challenge.  Remember, the energy of the earth helps to keep us grounded, so maintaining a positive mindset (which is where the earth is), will help to ground the emotional energy of Gate 22 (which is where the sun is).

So, here are some more contemplations along those lines:  

• What thoughts do you have when you receive an idea or inspiration?  Are you hopeful or despairing? 

• How can you cultivate more hope and optimism?

• What do you do to regulate your mindset? 

• How do you keep your thoughts “in check”? 

• What practices do you need to cultivate to increase the power of your thoughts? 

A lot of juicy questions there, so take your time with them and see what comes through.

So here are what I think the takeaways are this week:  1. You are being given the green light from the Universe to pursue your passions. 2. You are further being asked to trust that your pursuits will be abundantly supported by the Universe.  3.
