Energy Weaving with the Wandering Shaman: Quantum Human Design & Shamanic Wisdom - May 15, 2025 - The Sun Enters the Gate of Fulfillment/The Earth Enters the Gate of Creation

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to my podcast, where we explore the movement of the sun and the Earth through the Human Design Chart and some shamanic wisdom to help us along the way.  If you are new to this podcast, or to the concepts of Human Design and Shamanism, please go back and listen to episode 0 where I set the stage for what we are discussing here.  You can also read the introductory blog here for the same information if you prefer.

Today is May 15, 2025, and the sun is lighting up Gate 8 - the Gate of Fulfillment - and the earth is highlighting Gate 14 - the Gate of Creation. Let’s start off our discussion with a big contemplation.  If you didn’t need the money, what work would you be doing?  And then, is that work showing up in your life somehow right now?  It might not be the exact work that you are doing, but is there something else peeking around the corner that maybe you need to start paying attention to?  A job posting that crosses your path?  An unexpected conversation that resonates with you in some way?  Is there a class or training that you’ve been wanting to take?  For me, when an idea or thought or urge crosses my mind more than once and doesn’t seem to want to leave me, or when the universe sends me a sign…and then another sign…and sometimes even a third sign, that’s when I know I need to pay attention.  Ask yourself, is what you’re doing in alignment with what you feel your purpose is?  Or is there something else you “should” be doing?  Are you on the verge of transitioning to work that is more in alignment with your purpose?  Or is it still in the development and dream stage?  That’s ok too.  These things take time sometimes.  This week’s energies are all about authentic alignment and finding your true passion and “right” work.  

Gate 8, which is where the sun is, challenges us to express ourselves authentically.  We are asked to find our Divine purpose and path and to walk it boldly, without self-judgment or holding back.  Being the full expression of your authentic self IS your life purpose.  This week, that energy is stronger than ever, so I challenge you to do what you can to embrace your true, authentic self.  Now I can hear some of you asking - what if I don’t even know who my true self is?  Well, then start there.  Start by asking yourself these questions:  

1. What do you dream of?

2. What is your true passion?

3. Do you feel safe being vulnerable and expressing your true self?  If not, what would make you feel safer to do that?

Further, here are some more contemplations:

1. What do you need to remove from your current life to make your life more authentic?

2. What is one bold action you can take right now that would allow you to express who you are more authentically in the world?

Authenticity matters. And yet, it’s so easy to slip into inauthentic habits, especially on social media. It’s the perfect place to highlight only the good, to present a version of ourselves that may not be entirely true.

We all want to be liked. We all want validation. We all want to feel good about ourselves. But if we’re putting on a front to get those things, it will eventually catch up to us.

Energy doesn’t lie. If your actions don’t align with the energy of your soul, the results you get may not be lasting or fulfilling.

This doesn’t mean you need to air every trauma or hardship online, and you don’t need to always trauma dump with your friends (although having someone you can vent to is extremely important, in my opinion). It just means checking in with yourself. Look at what you’re sharing. Ask yourself: Am I showing up as the most authentic version of me?

So let’s move on to Gate 14 – The Gate of Creation. This gate also speaks deeply to authenticity and alignment, especially in our relationship with work, money, and resources. The energy of Gate 14 encourages us to pursue work that aligns with our highest good, rather than chasing material gain alone.

And yes, that’s easier said than done—we all need money to live. But the core truth here is this: when we do what is truly aligned with our purpose, the abundance follows. It usually doesn’t work the other way around. You won’t discover your true path by doing something just for the money.

Sometimes, it’s not about making drastic changes—it’s about shifting your intention.

In my own life, I do energy work. The number of clients I see each week varies a lot, and that inconsistency can feel unsettling. But over time, I’ve noticed a clear pattern: when I market my services with a true intention to help people and support their highest good, rather than just trying to make money, I see more clients, and with greater ease. The abundance flows more naturally.

I didn’t have to change careers or relocate. I just had to shift the energy behind my actions.

Try it sometime. Set your intention to serve, to align with your highest good, and see what happens.  And one more thing I might add is to be grateful for the resources and abundance that you have at every step along the way.  Gratitude really helps to align us and attract more abundance.

The card I drew from Austeen Heeney’s Mystic Wanderer Oracle deck is an interesting one this week.  I drew the Phoenix and here’s what it says:

Life has brought you to your knees, and you felt no choice but to dive into the safety and security of darkness.  This is where you have stayed, but now it’s time to let the light in once more, to pull yourself up from the deep womb of love you have created.  You are ready to break through the surface back into the world, back into believing, into loving, into creating and into being.  The phoenix is allowing his undoing to be his becoming, and so now the time is right for you to do the same.  You need to rediscover the feelings of liberation, of flight and towering heights.  You have been hibernating, licking your wounds, but now it is time to rise again.  There will be another part of your life where the deep cave of shadows will be your home again, but right now, it is the time in your cycle to venture out, climb mountains, cross oceans and be daring.  

Break free of old comforts.  Time to use your renewed energy and ambition wisely.  Time to start a new venture.  Follow your soul’s purpose.  It is the perfect moment to do something that scares you.  We are cyclical beings, and though you will revisit this winter, it’s time to experience summer.  Ignite your dreams!

And I just want to add that “Phoenix” moments don’t need to be great big huge bouts of depression where we are plunged into darkness for months.  We can have “mini” Phoenix moments where we retreat for a day or a weekend and come out revived and renewed.  The key is to recognize when we need to do that and honor ourselves enough to give ourselves that time to reconnect with our soul and bring ourselves back into alignment.
