Energy Weaving with the Wandering Shaman: Quantum Human Design & Shamanic Wisdom - May 21, 2025 - The Sun Enters the Gate of Patience/The Earth Enters the Gate of Power

Today is May 21, 2025, and the sun is lighting up Gate 20 - the Gate of Patience - and the earth is highlighting Gate 34 - the Gate of Power. So, happy manifesting generator week.  In Human Design, there are 5 “types” - one of them being a manifesting generator, or in quantum language, a timebender.  The 2 gates being highlighted this week connect to form the channel of Charisma or Responsive Power.  This is just one channel that makes someone a manifesting generator, and it is probably the most powerful.  So let’s talk about some of the characteristics of a manifesting generator.  

Strengths:

• Multitasking Mastery: You can effortlessly handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• High Energy: You possess abundant energy, especially when engaged in activities that align with your passions.

• Versatility: You adapt easily to various roles and environments.

• Creativity: You bring innovative ideas to life with enthusiasm.

• Quick Decision-Making: You move swiftly from response to action.

Challenges:

• Skipping Steps: You have a tendency to bypass necessary processes, leading to potential setbacks.

• Impatience: Your desire for rapid results can cause frustration.

• Overcommitment: You risk burnout from taking on too many tasks.

• Difficulty Saying No: You may have challenges in setting boundaries, leading to energy depletion.

• Neglecting Passions: You may focus on obligations over personal interests, causing dissatisfaction.

I am a manifesting generator with this channel, so I feel all of this DEEPLY.  

Now, those of us who are NOT manifesting generators and are not used to this energy may feel quite discombobulated this week.  You may feel scattered, ungrounded, unable to concentrate, and impatient.  My advice to you would be to try and harness some of that energy - take advantage of it while it’s here.  Make lists of things you want to accomplish - pursue something you’re passionate about, but maybe haven’t taken the time to look into.  But also, realize that this energy is fleeting and won’t last forever.  Don’t beat yourself up if you suddenly run out of energy or passion for the project that you started.  It’s ok.  Let it go until you get a surge of momentum again.

Now the next thing I want to talk about is conundrums.  Every human design chart has its share of conundrums - energies that seem to be in direct opposition to each other.  This channel is the perfect example of that.  Gate 34, the gate of power, is said to be and busiest gate in the chart.  It is all about go, go, go.  Gate 20, which is connected to it, is the gate of patience - wait, wait, wait.  Quite the dilemma.  How do we rectify this?  As I’ve been saying time and time again in these episodes, it’s all about timing.  We have to learn to cultivate greater patience while we are waiting for the right timing.  We need to resist the need to act if we feel the timing isn’t right.  Often, proceeding like a bull in a china shop when the timing is off only causes chaos.  Conundrums are something that we cover in a full human design reading.  Usually, our greatest life lessons are wrapped up in opposing energies in our charts.  If you’d like to learn more about your type, what conundrums you are supposed to learn from, or just your overall energetic blueprint, reach out for a reading.  I’d love to hear from you!

I was looking specifically for a card on patience to go along with these energies this week.  And in this deck, I found the turtle card.  Here’s the wisdom the turtle brings us:

In Native American teachings, Turtle is the oldest symbol for planet Earth.  It is the personification of goddess energy, and the eternal Mother from which our lives evolve.  We are born of the womb of Earth, and to her soil our bodies will return.  In honoring the Earth, we are asked by Turtle to be mindful of the cycle of give and take, to give back to the Mother as she has given to us.

Turtle has a shell, which is similar to the protection that Earth has employed for centuries as her body has been defiled.  Mother Earth’s protection has come in the form of Earth changes, new plant growth, the creation of new land masses by volcanoes, and climate alterations.  Like Turtle, you also have shields that protect you from hurt, envy, jealousy, and the unconsciousness of others.  Turtle teaches you, through its habit patterns, how to use protection.  If you are bothered by the actions or words of others, it is time to go inside yourself and honor your feelings. If you are attacked, it is time to give a warning snap.

If you have chosen the Turtle symbol, you are being asked to honor the creative source within you, to be grounded to the Earth, and to observe your situation with motherly compassion.  Use the water and earth energies, which represent Turtle’s two homes, to flow harmoniously with your situation and to place your feet firmly on the ground in a power stance.

Turtle is a fine teacher of the art of grounding.  You may even be able to overcome some of your “space cadet” tendencies if you align with Turtle medicine.  In learning to ground, you are placing focus on your thoughts and actions and slowing to a pace that assures completion.

Turtle warns of the dangers of “pushing the river,” as evidenced by the plodding pace it keeps.  The corn that is harvested before its time is not yet full.  However, if it is given the chance to develop at its own rate, in its own season, its sweetness will be shared by all.

Turtle buries its thoughts, like its eggs, in the sand, and allows the sun to hatch the little ones.  This teaches you to develop your ideas before bringing them out into the light.  Look at the old fable of the tortoise and the hare, and decide for yourself whether or not you would like to align with Turtle.  Bigger, stronger, and faster are not always the best ways to get to a goal.  When you arrive, you may be asked where you’ve been, and you may not be able to remember.  In that case, arriving prematurely can make you feel very immature.

If you draw the Turtle card, it augurs a time of connecting with the power of Earth and the Mother-Goddess within.  This is a reminder of the ally you have in Mother Earth.  It does not matter what situation you have created: ask her for assistance, and abundance will follow.

So what I see as takeaways this week are these:  

1. Recognize your passions and maybe take steps in pursuing one.

2. Really feel into whether the timing is right for what you want to pursue.

3. Take advantage of energetic surges that you may feel, but realize they are fleeting.  Don’t beat yourself up if you run out of steam.
