Energy Weaving with the Wandering Shaman: Quantum Human Design & Shamanic Wisdom - May 9, 2025 - The Sun Enters the Gate of Transmission/The Earth Enters the Gate of Insight

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to my podcast, where we explore the movement of the sun and the Earth through the Human Design Chart and some shamanic wisdom to help us along the way.  

Today is May 9, 2025, and the sun is lighting up Gate 23 - the Gate of Transmission - and the earth is highlighting Gate 43 - the Gate of Insight. This is an interesting pairing because these two gates connect to form the Channel of Structuring or the Channel of Innovative Thinking. This channel connects the throat center with the ajna center, and typically, any energy that finds its way to the throat center is energy that is easily expressed.  So this week, while the sun and the earth are in this position, you should be able to more easily express your thoughts and ideas.  More on that in a minute, but if you’re not sure what I mean by the terms “gates,” “channels,” “centers,” etc, go back and listen to Episode 0 of this podcast.  I briefly introduce both human design lingo and Shamanism there.  You can also read the Introductory blog post here for the same information.

Before we go back to the channel of Innovative Thinking, I want to share the wisdom from the Spider card from the Mystic Wanderer Oracle deck by Austeen Heeney.  The link to Austeen’s work is here: https://freetobeyogamassage.com/

The Spider card in this deck is about storytelling.  What stories do you whisper in the dark, wanderer?  What stories do you whisper in the light?  Spider is the ultimate weaver of creation. She has come to remind you of the power stories have over your life, mind, and destiny.  Your words are spinning, creating, and bringing the experiences you are having.  Are they for the good, or are they for the bad?  Be mindful of the words spoken in the next few weeks.  There can be several meanings to this card.  Storytelling can be a wonderful passive experience in community or healing work, and you need to do more of it.  It can also mean that you need to be cautious of the stories that others are telling you or that you are telling yourself, for they shape your reality.  Do not underestimate the sounds we make with our mouths, for they are mighty!  Let them be loud, truthful, and manifested.  

Speak out against any injustice.  It is time for your story to be heard; speak it.  Be mindful of the words unfolding around you.  If so inclined, write a book.  Use sound to manifest and bring to your life what you desire most.  Discover what your stories are and how they impact your life.

This is some good advice for the powerful energy of the Channel of Structuring or Innovative Thinking that is being highlighted this week.  The core themes of this channel are individual insight and expression.  This is a “projected channel,” which means recognition and invitation are key. Your ideas will be best received if you are first recognized and asked to share your thoughts.  The channel is deeply individualistic and brings sudden insights that are often ahead of their time, and not always easy for others to understand right away.  The nickname of the channel is the “Genius-freak” channel because when you express yourself, you may be seen as a genius, or, if people aren’t ready to hear what you have to say, you may be seen as a freak!  That is why timing and recognition, or an invitation to share, are crucial for this energy.  I feel like a broken record, always talking about timing and recognition, but it is true for so many parts of the human design chart.

Suppose you don’t normally have this channel or either of these gates defined in your birth chart (and you can find that out by simply obtaining a free human design chart online). In that case, you may be surprised to experience some of the following in the next few days as this energy is being highlighted:  

• Inner knowing that pops in without explanation.

• Moments of “aha!” genius that aren't logical or linear.

• The ability to communicate insights in a way that others can understand — if the timing and invitation are right.

• Being able to  “simplify the complex”.

• You may find that you need more space and quiet for your insights to form. Sometimes, if you try to explain your idea before it is fully formed, it could seem blunt, abrupt, or disconnected.

  
  

This is especially where the advice of the Spider card can come into play.  A few of the cautions in the reading of that card that stand out as particularly relevant to me are: 

• Be mindful of the words spoken in the next few weeks.  

• Do not underestimate the sounds we make with our mouths, for they are mighty! 

• Be mindful of the words unfolding around you.
